Pat passed away in April of this year. On June 27, 2020 the SVDP Community Gardens dedicated a crop tunnel to Pat and placed a statue in the tunnel in her honor.
The Pirates Charities Care-a-Van is a charity that features players, coaches and front office employees making a difference in the community. The Society’s Community Garden is in need of volunteers. If interested in helping out, contact Pat. The Gardens provide thousands of pounds of fresh produce for area kitchens and pantries.
Congratulations to the SVDP Community Gardens volunteers for receiving a $15,000 grant from the United Way of Blair County which will be used to purchase much needed equipment.
