It is with great sadness and disappointment that Food for Families, Inc. announces the cancellation of our 2nd Annual Feed the Need Food Truck Rodeo for 2020.
The WTAJ morning team stopped by the SVDP Altoona Thrift Store to help with sorting and interview Linda Irvin, one of our volunteers.
The Altoona human needs office raised $1,489.20 with the help of local churches and businesses who collected gently worn and new shoes. On Sunday, June 16, 2019 the 1st Annual Feed the Need Food Truck Rodeo was held from noon to 4 p.m. at Peoples Natural Gas Park in Johnstown. The nearly $6,000.00 raised will go toward an ongoing freezer/cooler project for the Johnstown warehouse.
