2nd Annual Feed the Need Food Truck Rodeo – Cancelled

It is with great sadness and disappointment that Food for Families, Inc. announces the cancellation of our 2nd Annual Feed the Need Food Truck Rodeo on Sunday, June 21, 2020. Proceeds raised from this event were to benefit both the Johnstown Food for Families warehouse and family kitchen.

“Our advisory committee waited as long as possible but with the uncertainty of when the stay-at-home order will be totally lifted, they couldn’t let food truck operators, vendors and our featured performers in a “wait and see” pattern any longer,” advised Georgia Lehman, Community Relations Specialist for the St. Vincent de Paul – Johnstown area.

“This year we were excited to have Josh Gallagher, a Cresson native, Nashville recording artist, and finalist on The Voice, Season 11, scheduled as our featured performer with Lux and Company as the opening act.  With all that is happening at the present time, the committee felt it best to cancel all of our fund raising activities for this summer, which also includes our Feed the Need Rubber Duck race, and concentrate of planning for the summer of 2021”, Lehman added.

We already have our date set for Father’s Day, June 20, 2021 and are thrilled that Josh has agreed to participate in the event.

With the cancellation of these activities there will be a shortfall in revenue and anyone wishing to support our Johnstown Food for Families programs can do so by donating through our website.
