SVDP Conference St Therese of The Child Jesus attends Saturate Altoona

During the month of June SVDP Conference members attended Saturate Altoona. Saturate Altoona is a citywide outdoor worship series held every Sunday evening in June at the Heritage
Plaza in Downtown Altoona. This free, family-focused event brought people of all backgrounds together for a shared celebration of faith, unity, and service. Each evening began with a time of connection and hospitality. Local churches and organizations offered free food, drinks, games, and giveaways, creating a warm and welcoming environment for all who attended. The main event featured live worship, guest speakers, testimonies, and prayer over key areas such as education, local leadership, and healthcare. On the final Sunday, many gathered to witness public baptisms, marking a powerful conclusion to the month. Churches across Altoona came together in a visible show of unity—including Altoona Alliance Church, The Salvation Army, Redefined Community Church, and many others. The Society of St. Vincent de Paul (SVDP) was honored to attend the event, connecting with community members and sharing the mission of the organization. Volunteers from SVDP talked with attendees about the work being done locally to serve those in need and how others can get involved.
